A place where professionals, parents, and caregivers involved in the lives of children from hard places can find resources, education and support.

TLC understands that ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) harm the developing brains of children and can lead to changing how they respond to stress; which often shows up in behaviors. It also can damage their immune systems so profoundly that the effects show up decades later. ACEs cause much of the burden of chronic disease, most mental illness, and are at the root of most violence (acestoohigh).

We believe that every individual has the capacity to grow and overcome adversity when cared for in a loving community. We also believe that the community needs education and resources in order to help individuals heal from childhood trauma.
